Description
- A 30% chromium – 4% carbon hardfacing electrode for overlaying carbon, low alloy or austenitic manganese steels in severe abrasion, moderate impact environments
- Weld deposit is a tough austenite-carbide matrix with oxidation resistance up to 1800F and wear resistance up to 1200F
- Excellent wear resistance in metal to metal sliding and grinding abrasion application such as in rolling mill guides
- Easy to use on AC or DC machines with a wide range of amperage settings allowing for high deposition efficiency and easy slag removal
- Two layers will produce extremely hard weld deposits (RC 60-62) that cannot be machined or heat-treated
- Common applications include crushing applications, cement mill die rings, mill hammers, railroad tie tamper tips, bucket lips and teeth, coal and earth augers, sintering mill breakers and bars, conveyor screws, and mixer blades
