Description
- For general purpose, high speed welding of carbon and low alloy steels.
- Easy to use, stable arc, low spatter, excellent restrike capability and a smooth weld bead with fine ripples are all characteristics of this electrode.
- Designed to be used for many of the same applications as 6013, but with much greater deposition efficiency as a result of iron powder in the flux and being able to run at higher amperage settings.
- Can be used on small AC machines as well as DC units.
- Single or multiple-pass applications and in all positions including vertical-down and overhead.
- Able to be used like a 6012 for bridging wide root openings from poor fit-up joints.
- Used for “tack†or “contact†welding sheet metal or galvanized, rusty or dirty steels, ornamental iron, mobile home frames,automobiles and railcars, structural steel buildings, storage tanks and machine parts.
