Victory 316L-16 Electrode (SMAW)
Description
- All position welding of 18% Cr – 12% Ni – 21â„2% Mo stainless steel producing weld deposits with a carbon content of 0.04 maximum.
- When this electrode produces a weld deposit of 2 FN maximum, it can be used for welding 304 and 316 stainless steels in cryogenic service at temperatures down to -452 degrees F.
- Excellent corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures against “pitting†that may be caused by sulfuric, phosphoric and acetic acids.
- Can be used for welding ferritic-austenitic stainless steel such as 329, 405, 410, and 430 or titanium/niobium stabilized grades such as 316Ti in certain applications where the service temperature is below 750 degrees F.
- Common applications involve those industries manufacturing rayon, dye, paper, ink, rubber, bleach, photographic chemicals; also used for building up the sealing faces of valves and fittings for acid, gas, water, and steam equipment.
