Alternating zirconia alumina and aluminum oxide flaps outperform aluminum oxide discs, while retaining a more economical price, and the angled polyester and cotton flaps offer excellent surface contact, while fiberglass and resin backing plates offer high strength, vibration absorption and a lightweight for comfortable operation. The disc works well for coarse grit blending, beveling, deburring and stock removal, especially when speed of job completion and stock removal are the primary considerations.
