Victory Welding Alloy E309L-16 Welding Electrode | 1/16 x 10 lb Tube

Category Stainless Steel

Description

• All position welding of heat resistant 22-25% chromium and 12-13% nickel stainless steels such as 309/309L to itself, to other austenitic Cr-Ni grades such as 304L, 308L, 310, 316L, 321 or 347 as well as martensitic grades 410, 420, 431, and ferritic stainless grades such as 430, 442, and 446; all of these stainless steel grades can be welded to each other or to mild and carbon steels • The low carbon content of this electrode (0.04% C) preserves the intergranular corrosion resistant properties of the weld deposit and ensures a higher ferrite content than standard 309-16; most 309L-16 weld deposits are greater than 8 FN • Weld deposits exhibit high resistance to cracking and oxidation at temperatures up to 2000F • Excellent for welding dissimilar steels or overlaying unalloyed structural steels found in furnace parts, kiln linings, heat treatment containers, forging and castings in chemical, petrochemical, power generation and pharmaceutical industries
